Saigon South International School (SSIS) was founded in 1997 by Phu My Hung Corp. to accommodate an increasing need for American education for both local residents and expatriate families.

After 15 years, SSIS is one of only two International schools in Vietnam that has been fully accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC – The USA Association). This is a very great honor to SSIS because WASC just accredits for the school that is based on International standards like training quality, material facilities, curricula, experienced lecturers, etc. Following the standards of WASC, SSIS is becoming one of the best International schools in Vietnam now, and that is the reason why a lot of SSIS students are able to pass strict entrance exams and gain scholarships from top 100 universities in the world such as Harvard University, Stanford University, University of California, University of Michigan…
every year.

SSIS is the only non-profit International School in Vietnam located in the heart of Phu My Hung master-planned new city. The strategic location is adjacent to the scenic river that brings fresh air and relaxing environ to students for their better study. Besides, SSIS has equipped with modern material facilities to adapt to every student’s studying demands from pre-school to grade 12. Additionally, International friendly experienced lecturers can help students to promote their ability, knowledge, and skills. Specially, SSIS has great extracurricular activities such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, swimming and social activities such as charity works, Teacher appreciation day, International week, Family day, etc which help students to improve life skills, characteristics, personality in the good way. All that SSIS has done is just for one target: That is to educate students to become intellectual and encourage their personal development in preparation for purposeful life as global citizens.
