Crescent Mall ready to take on new comers
The kick-off of the national leasing phase of the Crescent Mall is scheduled for January 28 in preparation for its opening in 2011. The mall, which is being developed by Phu My Hung Corporation in Saigon South, will contain 200 specialty shops, a 6,000 square metre supermarket, an international food court, restaurants, alfresco cafes overlooking the water and a multiplex cinema.
Crescent Mall is the centerpiece of the Crescent project. The first phase of the development, contaning 300 fully-furnished serviced apartments, a worldclass office building and 50 retail shops, is scheduled for completion this April.
“We’ve been very pleased with the response from retailers who’ve expressed their interest in being part of the Crescent project”, said Mark Farquhar, national director of retail Savills Vietnam, which is the exclusive marketing and management agent for the development.
“The Crescent has been successful in attracting new to market international retailers such as Boomerang [Singapore-based] and a number of the leading retailers in Vietnam, such as Ngoc Suong, Yeebo and NYDC, to name a few. We are looking forward to opening the Crescent and providing customers with an entertainment and leisure precinct to rival those in Hong Kong and Singapore”, he added.
The Crescent project comprises four seven-story buildings. The ground floor and second floor of the first four building are retails spaces with a well-chosen tenancy mix for customers to enjoy the Crescent from early morning to late into the night.
The first phase opening of the project is set for this April and will include 300 serviced apartments, 10,000sqm of office space and 22,000sqm of retail space. Second phase will be marked by the opening of the Crescent Mall at the end of next year, which will add rougly 47,000sqm of retail space in Ho Chi Minh City.
Developed by Phu My Hung Corporation and exclusively leased and managed by Savills, the Crescent looks set to be the only one of its kind in the country.
