On July 8th, 2009, Phu My Hung Corporation organized the ground breaking & VND 1,2000 billion syndicated loan contract signing ceremony Crescent Mall, adjacent to the nearly completed Crescent Residences and Crescent Plaza within the new financial and commercial district of Phu My Hung in District 7 with total 112,000 gross sqm and cost US$ 200 million to build.

At this ground breaking ceremony, there was a syndicated loan contract signing ceremony, 5 Vietnamese banks undertook to finance the investor – Phu My Hung Corporation a syndicated loan of VND 1,200 billion to carry out Crescent Mall project. Vietcombank – Saigon South Branch was the agent bank that arranged this syndicated loan. Four other banks that finance this project were VietinBank – Transaction office II, Bao Viet Bank – HCMC Branch, Gia Dinh Bank and ACB – Transaction office.

Crescent Mall is Vietnam’s first regional shopping mall and will be built to international standards consisting of 44,000 sqm of net leasable area in the first phase. It is the first of its kind in Vietnam with over 210 specialty stores, an array of restaurants and cafes, offering both indoor and alfresco dining, an 8 screens Cineplex, over 3,000 sqm of entertainment areas and anchored by a supermarket of approximately 6,000 sqm, a large food court and the above mentioned cinema.

Based on the unique setting of Crescent Mall, it will attract the largest shopper population in Vietnam, providing the convenience of a wide variety of goods and services from both international and local brands. It will also provide a comfortable, modern environment protected from the heat, rain and dust in the city, offering multiple food and beverage options and entertainment along with the best shopping in Vietnam all wrapped in to one location. In addition, crescent mall will be a fantastic venue for residents to enjoy seasonal, cultural and commercial events within and surrounding the mall.
